NEW – Art Take 2 Video Classes!
Our new video classes are taught by Breanna’s Gift teachers. Covid-19 regulations vary from state to state, but in Minnesota, we started thinking about how we could continue our mission from a distance. With playrooms locked down and no visitors, volunteers or volunteer groups allowed into the hospitals, children are so isolated and confined. We have created a video component and added it to Breanna’s Gift programs.
This venture is called Art Take 2TM, a series of arts classes in a video format using our artist/teachers. Classes are very similar to what we bring to children in person and will include classes in visual arts, dance, music and performing arts. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Art Takeout: Art Classes in a Box
Art TakeoutTM is a series of individual art projects that were designed by Breanna’s Gift teachers for children who are not able to leave their hospital room to join group classes. In addition to providing these classes for children and their families at Children’s Minnesota and Mayo Eugenio Litta Children’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, Breanna’s Gift also sends Art Takeout projects to Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, Richmond, Virginia, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, Orlando, Florida Medical City Children’s Hospital, Dallas, Texas and American Family Children’s Hospital, Madison, WI.
Breanna’s Gift classes in the arts are provided at no cost for critically ill children and their families. Classes are led by professional artists/teachers and each teacher is assisted by a Breanna’s Gift volunteer. Classes are taught at Ronald McDonald House Upper Midwest and Children’s Minnesota on both the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses.
No program would be complete without the opportunity to create and perform. Our artist workshops provide the perfect setting for children as they participate in drama camps, puppet shows and other visual arts and dance workshops and performances.
All Breanna’s Gift programs are free to children and their families and to the recipient organizations where our classes and workshops are held.
