Breanna’s Gift classes in the arts are provided at no cost for critically ill children and their families. Classes are led by professional artists/teachers and each teacher is assisted by a Breanna’s Gift volunteer. Classes are taught at Ronald McDonald House Upper Midwest and Children’s Minnesota on both the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses.
No program would be complete without the opportunity to create and perform. Our artist workshops provide the perfect setting for children as they participate in drama camps, puppet shows and other visual arts and dance workshops and performances.
Art TakeoutTM is a series of individual art projects that were designed by Breanna’s Gift teachers for children who are not able to leave their hospital room to join group classes. In addition to providing these projects for children at Ronald McDonald House and the hospitals we visit, Breanna’s Gift also sends Art Takeout projects to Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU in Richmond, Virginia, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Mayo Eugenio Litta Children’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota and Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, Florida.
All Breanna’s Gift programs are free to children and their families and to the recipient organizations where our classes and workshops are held.
