Breanna’s Gift sends a special thank you to everyone who supported our organization on Give to the Max Day. Together you helped us raise over $13,000. This is an amazing and a humbling experience and we thank you so very much. Your support makes our program possible.
Marsha, founder and executive director, Breanna’s Gift
Breanna’s Gift has received a $10,000 Arts Activity Grant which will in part support our January-August, 2018 arts program This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the MN State Arts Board and the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund. We are honored!
This fall, the Chanhassen High School Dance Line gathered dance costumes and art supplies for Breanna’s Gift. There is something so special about young people giving up time from their busy schedules and showing so much support for our program. We are honored and humbled by such generosity. Thank you Coach Kelly and all of the Chanhassen Dance Line dancers for your wonderful donations and for being a part of Breanna’s Gift.
Breanna’s Gift has amazing volunteers! There are program volunteers who assist our teachers during classes and volunteers who take on all kinds of miscellaneous and very necessary tasks. One afternoon of volunteering for Lauren and she helped organize costumes, make Art Takeout projects and prepared our Holiday Mailer for delivery. Thanks Lauren and thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers.
Breanna’s Gift held a 5K Running for Smiles event on October 7, 2017. And the winners are……………EVERYONE!
It was a cloudy, drizzly day, but that didn’t stop us from having fun. We would like to say thank you to our event patrons, Werner Electric, Rick and Tamra Anderson and Go Kart Labs; to Marge Meyer Associates for all of our marketing materials; to our event volunteers; to Kim Bergman for T-Shirt design; to Heidilynn Johnson for T-Shirt layout and to all of the run participants.
Congratulations to the winner of the race, Number 6, Billy Gese.
Number 21, Finnegan, was the winner in the canine division. Truth be told, we didn’t actually have a canine division, but Finnegan stole the show, coming in first and last.
Cudos to Billy and Finnegan.
And Thank You EVERYONE for your support!

Our board of directors learned quickly that hot rods sometimes come without wheels. At FOCI, Minnesota Center for Glass Arts we used rods that got Very HOT; combining art and fun to create paper weights for Breanna’s Star silent auction. Thank you to FOCI, Alli and Taylor for an amazing art experience. Join us Saturday, April 29th at Plymouth Creek Center from 7-10:30 and see the results. Buy your tickets today!
Save the date for Breanna’s Star 9th annual event on Saturday April 29th from 7-10:30 p.m. at Plymouth Creek Center. It’s a new venue with lots of fun, new surprises and of course some of the same old favorites. So mark your calendars and join us for a night of art, celebration and giving.
This fall a very special 6-year-old named Aubrey started a fundraising campaign for Breanna’s Gift. I had the pleasure of receiving the results of her efforts and the joy of meeting Aubrey and her mom. Aubrey posted campaign videos, had a fundraiser at her dance studio, Woodbury Dance Center and had a fundraising table at the Mall of America. She raised $424.83 and collected donations of art supplies and costumes for our program. Aubrey, we are honored that you have contributed so much of your time and talent to Breanna’s Gift. Check out the video links below. When you see them you will be asking the same question I did, is she really only 6? https://youtu.be/BxdQYu2X-Es https://youtu.be/8V4sT-Mk9BU
Aubrey was also kind enough to show me some of her dance moves. My favorite and perhaps hers was her sassy walk. With this move, she is a natural. Thank you Aubrey!!
