Breanna’s Star

Breanna’s Gift Board of Directors Combines Art with Playing Nice in the Sandbox

Breanna’s Gift Board of Directors and Program Coordinator, Kim Gordon attended a Sandcasting Workshop at FOCI, center for glass arts. This was a combination of fun, creativity and new  HOT experiences. Everyone is always good at playing nice in the sand box, so the small boxes of sand were no challenge for our group. Each class member made 2 castings with only one requirement.  One of the two pieces must be donated to the Breanna’s Star event on April 28. That is the most difficult part of the experience. Which one will be donated and which one will they keep. However, if it’s too hard to decide,  bidding on your own piece at the event is always an option!

Hot Rods without Wheels

Our board of directors learned quickly that hot rods sometimes come without wheels.  At FOCI, Minnesota Center for Glass Arts we used rods that got Very HOT; combining art and fun to create paper weights for Breanna’s Star silent auction. Thank you to FOCI, Alli and Taylor for an amazing art experience. Join us Saturday, April 29th at Plymouth Creek Center from 7-10:30 and see the results.  Buy your tickets today!

How Small Can You Draw?

This week at Ronald McDonald House, artist Jamie D’Angelo led the kids in a tiny art project. Tiny because their drawings we done inside of bottle caps. You really can’t get much smaller than that. Some bottle cap drawings became magnets that  kids kept for themselves and the rest were donated by our young artists to Jamie so she can create a larger work of art to be auctioned at our Breanna’s Star event on April 23rd. The kids take so much pride in being a part of creating this work of art. We hope you can attend the event to see the amazing results!RMH_BottleCapArt7_2.2016
