14 Art Students from DeLaSalle High School prepared 840 Art Takeout boxes for distribution to 6 hospitals across the country. I did the math.
28 helping hands = 840 smiles just like this one. That’s Awesome!
Thank you to members of our board of directors for their help and to the art students and teachers for making this all happen.
The art students at DeLaSalle created a flurry of activity as they prepared 700 Art Takeout projects for Breanna’s Gift. The projects are being sent to 6 Children’s Hospitals across the country and we are so honored that students took time from their busy schedules to help out. In an hour, they prepared the 6 different art projects and it was exciting to be part of their enthusiasm, efficiency and energy. Thank you to everyone involved for being such a big part of Breanna’s Gift.
This fall, the Chanhassen High School Dance Line gathered dance costumes and art supplies for Breanna’s Gift. There is something so special about young people giving up time from their busy schedules and showing so much support for our program. We are honored and humbled by such generosity. Thank you Coach Kelly and all of the Chanhassen Dance Line dancers for your wonderful donations and for being a part of Breanna’s Gift.
Breanna’s Gift has amazing volunteers! There are program volunteers who assist our teachers during classes and volunteers who take on all kinds of miscellaneous and very necessary tasks. One afternoon of volunteering for Lauren and she helped organize costumes, make Art Takeout projects and prepared our Holiday Mailer for delivery. Thanks Lauren and thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers.
This fall a very special 6-year-old named Aubrey started a fundraising campaign for Breanna’s Gift. I had the pleasure of receiving the results of her efforts and the joy of meeting Aubrey and her mom. Aubrey posted campaign videos, had a fundraiser at her dance studio, Woodbury Dance Center and had a fundraising table at the Mall of America. She raised $424.83 and collected donations of art supplies and costumes for our program. Aubrey, we are honored that you have contributed so much of your time and talent to Breanna’s Gift. Check out the video links below. When you see them you will be asking the same question I did, is she really only 6? https://youtu.be/BxdQYu2X-Es https://youtu.be/8V4sT-Mk9BU
Aubrey was also kind enough to show me some of her dance moves. My favorite and perhaps hers was her sassy walk. With this move, she is a natural. Thank you Aubrey!!
Breanna’s Gift was the charity partner at the Faffcon “unconference” held in Minneapolis. This group of voice over professionals from all over the world comes together each year at a different location. Our board president was present to receive the heart felt donations that we made to our organization during the 3 day event. And in the end, an incredible $8,000 was raised for Breanna’s gift. We are humbled and rendered completely speechless by the more than generous support we received from the Faffcon group. As voice over professionals, we understand that being rendered speechless would not be a good thing. But for us it has been the very opposite. The only word we could find to express ourselves was WOW! and WOW! THANK YOU FAFFCON.
