Art TakeoutTM is a series of individual art projects that were designed by Breanna’s Gift teachers for children who are not able to leave their hospital room to join group classes.
In addition to providing these classes for children and their families at Children’s Minnesota and Mayo Eugenio Litta Children’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, Breanna’s Gift also sends Art Takeout projects to Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, Richmond, Virginia, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, Orlando, Florida Medical City Children’s Hospital, Dallas, Texas and American Family Children’s Hospital, Madison, WI.
Each “class” contains instructions and all the materials necessary to complete a project. Projects are designed so that they can be fun with or without a “helper”!
Current projects include Make a Sock Puppet, Make a Drawing, Make a Sculpture, Make a Mini Puppet, Make a Watercolor, Make a Mosaic, Make a Pendant and a coloring project for mom and dad called Inside the Lines.
We are grateful to many for helping us put the projects together including individual kids and adults, Girl Scout troops, art students from De La Salle High School, Washburn High School Ultimate Frisbee Club, neighborhood families holiday giving get-togethers and corporations such as, Parsons Electric, Barr Engineering, Ascent Solutions and Liberty Property Trust. Your hard work enables us to provide Art TakeoutTM to so many children.
