April and May brings Saori Weaving to Ronald McDonald House
We've completed our Saori Weaving workshop at Ronald McDonald House. Saori is a Japanese free style form of weaving. It uses a special loom and you can weave with yarns, fabrics, grasses and just about anything you can think of. One of Breanna’s Gift teachers, Saori Weaving artist, Kimie Dillon lead the workshop; and after 4 afternoons, 3 weavings and lots of creative children, we are almost ready to show off the results. The work will be on permanent display at “The House” as a thank you to all Ronald McDonald House Volunteers. And a big thank you to all of the children and parents who helped make this amazing piece of art.

Art Classes in a Box at Children's Hospital Los Angeles
Children's Hospital in Los Angeles has just received 40 of Breanna’s Gift art classes in a box. They are for the children in the hospitals’ Hematology/Oncology unit and will be used for the children too sick to leave their rooms for playroom activities. The projects come with all the supplies needed, easy directions and great results. In addition to providing these special classes for children that we work with here in the Twin Cities and for Children's Hospital Los Angeles; Children’s Hospital in Richmond, Virginia has been the recipient of 60 our art classes in a box as well. And they wrote: "We absolutely love the art classes in a box. They make it easy to bring the joy of art to the kids who need to be seen at bedside."

We plan to continue this program at hospitals outside of the Twin Cities. Next stop.......stay tuned.
